Transforming Connectivity: VRC Group’s Memmadpur to Banur Highway Project

Highways are the backbone of modern infrastructure, driving growth, trade, and accessibility. The Memmadpur to Banur Highway Project, undertaken by VRC Group under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, is a prime example of this vision. By expanding connectivity across Punjab and Haryana, the project aims to reduce congestion, improve logistics efficiency, and enhance regional mobility.

Project Overview

The Memmadpur to Banur Highway Project covers a 30.828 km Greenfield corridor along the Ambala–Chandigarh route. The plan includes upgrading the existing four-lane road into six lanes, along with a dedicated spur to Lalru, ensuring smoother travel for both local and interstate commuters.

With an investment of ₹941.58 crore and a bid value of ₹678.62 crore, the project is a major step toward modernizing regional transport. Work began on 12 October 2023 and is scheduled for completion by 12 October 2025, reflecting VRC Group’s commitment to delivering projects on time.
